4.What plants are suitable for planting?
The horizontal NFT hydroponic system is suitable for growing small leafy vegetables and herbs. For example, lettuce (such as butter lettuce, romaine lettuce), spinach, mint, basil, etc. These plants have relatively small root systems and can grow well in a shallow layer of nutrient solution. It is not suitable for growing plants with large root systems, such as carrots and radishes, because the system cannot provide enough space for the roots to grow.
5.What light and temperature conditions should be paid attention to during plant growth?
Most vegetable plants need sufficient light, and the daily light time should be about 12-16 hours. You can use artificial light sources (such as LED plant lights) or natural sunlight. In terms of temperature, different plants have different requirements. Leafy plants generally grow at a temperature between 15-25℃. In the summer when the temperature is high, you need to pay attention to ventilation and cooling to prevent the plants from being damaged by high temperatures; in the winter when it is cold, you need to take insulation measures, such as using insulation film or heating equipment, to maintain a suitable growth temperature.
